Pastor Dr. Brett and Marisa Smitsdorff
Brett and Marisa joined the staff of Trinity on 1st February 2024.
Pastor Brett and Marisa began their ministry as youth leaders/pastors in 1995 at
Milnerton Baptist Church, while Brett was still studying at Cape Town Baptist Seminary.
At the time, there was no youth ministry in existence at Milnerton Baptist Church and they were called to start one.
They did so by doing street evangelism and the youth ministry grew. Brett and Marisa went on to be the Pastoral couple
at the Mthatha Baptist Church and then on to the Greenfield Randfontein Baptist Church where they have served for the last 15 years.
Pastor Brett has the following main qualifications:
Licentiate in Theology (Cum Laude) from the Cape Town Baptist Seminary in 1996.
Master’s Degree in Theology through the Cape Town Baptist Seminary and the University of Pretoria in 2004.
PhD in Practical Theology through the Cape Town Baptist Seminary and the University of Pretoria in 2012.
Marisa is presently studying through SATS and the BTC.Marisa is passionate about Children’s Ministry.
Brett and Marisa have three boys, the youngest finished his High School at the end of 2022.
Student Youth Pastor Imraan and Charlene Jacobs
Imraan and Charlene started their journey with Trinity Baptist in 2013. They were saved and baptist together in 2016. They have served in various ministries in the church. They are currently serving in Youth and Children's Ministry. Imraan finished his Higher Certificate in Ministry through the Baptist Theological College in 2023 and is presently completing his Bachelor of Theology at BTC. Imraan and Charlene have two young daughters.
